Get Ready for NWTF’s 6th Annual Conservation Week

Throughout the week, the NWTF will showcase conservation projects from across the country that are improving wildlife habitat, expanding public access and creating healthier landscapes for both wildlife and people. From restoring forests that support wild turkey populations to enhancing watersheds and opening new opportunities for outdoor recreation, Conservation Week celebrates the lasting impact of collaborative conservation and the dedicated volunteers who help make it all possible. 

"This week is about more than looking back at what's been accomplished within the past year — it's about education, our mission and inviting more people into the NWTF flock," said Pete Muller, NWTF communications director. "Whether you're a lifelong volunteer or you have just discovered your love of the outdoors, find time this week to explore our public lands and make sure to share the life-changing power of the outdoors with someone new." 

Each day will tell the story of a different region, celebrating the people, projects and partnerships restoring wildlife habitat, advancing wild turkey conservation, supporting groundbreaking research and creating better places to hunt, hike and explore. 

Whether it's walking a recently restored public forest, paddling a revitalized river corridor or chasing gobbles on improved habitat next spring, Conservation Week demonstrates how conservation investments create lasting opportunities for outdoor recreation and healthy wildlife populations. 

The NWTF also encourages members, volunteers and conservation partners to join the celebration by sharing their favorite conservation success stories, public lands and outdoor adventures using #NWTFConservationWeek on social media.
